You are perfectly right about "Business case". I still wonder, given those additional hints in the previous post https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=313462#p1266611, still you can't gather any meaning out of https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=313462#p1266431 ?
Further hint: Forget "Business case" and substitute "money talks" in its place.

That is the whole problem: The "Google" type of documentation. What would you type in the middle of your browser if you have a video problem? Of course "video". So what should be the proper name of the corresponding Moodle Doc? Of course http://docs.moodle.org/en/Video !
Honestly, what would one expect to find in http://docs.moodle.org/en/Video ? Everything a Moodler needs to know about videos? Wouldn't that be somewhat broad for a single page? Do you seriously believe, one page will replace a dedicated forum for videos?

Agree with Howard.
My question: Moodle 1.7 was realeased between Nov 2006 and Jan 2009, 1.9 from March 2008 to July 2012. Now, mid 2015, suddenly you need Moodle latest. May I know why?

Moodle _sendet_ keine E-Mails, es bereitet sie nur und liefert sie an einen SMTP-Server.
Die Tatsache, dass ohne irgendwas im den SMTP-Einstellungen die Mail funktionert heisst, dass im selben Server wo das Moodle laeuft auch ein SMTP-Server. Wenn das einzige Problem die Absenderadresse ist, kannst du sie in <noreply@deindomain> umstellen, ist Konfigurationssache.
Das mit den "unformatierten HTML-Mails" ist ja tragisch. Haben die Leute nie eine Textmail gesehen?

Auch mich wuerde eine elegante Loesung interessieren. Momentan schreibe ich die Forummeldungen in beiden Sprachen. Was ist die Ueberlegung? Die Meldung mit <span lang="lang1" class="multilang">Test in lang 1.</span> zu teilen. Dann je nach Spracheinstellung im Profil sollen die Teilnahmer nur seine Sprache erhalten?
