Isn't that clear? Either you freeze the question (in that quiz), then it is frozen. Or, you let it "live", the changes will reflect in the quiz.
At a first glance the need for "regrade" looks like an obstacle. But better that way than questions interfering with a quiz on their own!

That is my observation too. I haven't seen a case where Moodle 5.0 broke due to PHP 8.4. Still, it would have been nice, if I had an official source, like closed MDL-80117.

Can somebody (double) confirm that Moodle 5.0 is compatible with PHP 8.4? Although it says in may places [1], MDL-80117 is doesn't say so.
