What Mary suggests is the right way to go. I imagine something like 90% of the course would be the same for the two groups/groupings. 10% of it would be specific to Christian registered students. That is, you would have to create two almost identical resources:
Each group/grouping would only see the link to either 1. or 2.

This is possible but I'm not sure I want to tell you how to do it. It seems to me that if students think their conversations are private - they should remain so.
At the beginning of the course students should know that absolutely everything they do on Moodle can be monitored by the teacher and the administrator. If they want to communicate privately with each other, they should do so by Skype, email, etc.
Sorry if I appear to be a bit moralising - privacy seems to me to be an important issue.

L'outil que j'ai testé personnellement qui marche le mieux pour "échanger à plusiers" est Zorap. Nous étions 5 moodlabeurs à le tester à 5 pendant une here. Il faut installer un plugin dans son navigateur mais c'est gratuit et on n'a pas à créer un compte. Je l'ai de nouveau testé plus récemment avec d'autres collègues. Il y avait un petit bug : nous avons inséré une vidéo YouTube mais on n'a pas pu ensuite la fermer. Avec les images insérées c'était facile de les supprimer.
Je viens de voir qu'on peut maintenant faire des vidéo conférences à plusieurs sur Skype mais je l'ai pas testé.

J'avais lu l'article - c'est pour ça je n'ai pas mis d'attribution. J'avais toujours pensé que c'était de Disraeli. Je ne sais pas ce qu'il est correct de faire dans ce cas: "Origine disputée" ?
J'essaye d'éduquer mes étudiants à faire des citations adéquates mais je ne sais pas toujours moi même. I'm not an academic.
