Hi Chris,

I think this is not possible yet in Moodle 2.0. If you read in the docs:  HotPot module for Moodle 2.0 you will see it says, right at the top :

The features are no longer available:

There are a lot of new features, but not that.

That's one of the reasons I'm staying with Moodle 1.9. until Task Chain comes out - probably in the autumn.

Cheers,

Glenys

Hi David,

See screenshot below for where to force users to log in to see profiles.

As another aid to keeping the baddies out, if you have access to phpMyAdmin; you could also change your admin username to something other than the default "admin". Here's how to do it (I've just been learning myself so I took notes. wink)

In phpMyAdmin

  • Click on the moodle database on the left.
  • In the new window, in the list on the left, find the table mdl_user (it may be on a following page)
  • Select the file to edit with the "pen" icon.
  • Change the username to whatever you want but not "admin"
  • Change the password to: guest (I don't know why "guest", I'm just following instructions.)
  • Click on the "Go" button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Log in to your Moodle site with the password "guest"
  • Change the password in your profile to a very strong one.

Cheers,

Glenys
