Hi Jeff,

That's really nice of you to come back to the forum and explain how you found a workaround.

I'd suggest you post a new message asking for help with the security problem. There have been a lot of discussions about how to deal with this but I'm afraid I wasn't able to understand them. Security problems are very real but they are potential so unlikely to come and bite you in the b.. in the first few days after you've installed Moodle. You haven't already got thousands of vulnerable 5-year-olds (like the blond kid in the green hat) enrolled on it, have you? wink

Cheers,

Glenys

Hi Finita,

I'm afraid there's no "addon button". You have to install addons as explained here: Installing contributed modules or plugins and you have to be the Administrator of your Moodle platform and have access to the server. Is this the case for you ?

If not, you need to contact the person who is hosting your Moodle platform to do it for you.

Cheers,

Glenys

Bonsoir tous,

Cheers,

Glenys

Hi Alexandru,

What many universities and other organisations do is have two websites :

  • an "ordinary" information website
  • a Moodle website

The two are linked together and given the same visual theme so that the users are not always aware that they're moving from one site to another.

You could do the same.

Cheers,

Glenys
