This is strange. It looks as if there was a problem with the recording of responses in your moodle database. Does this happen on all your questionnaires or only on this particular instance? Did you delete some of the responses in it? Can you e-mail me a copy of your questionnaire with user data so I can have a look at it? (my e-mail address is in my profile).

Ben,

The problem is not with case sensitive or not but with the formulation of your regular expression for the correct answer. Try this:

Answer 1:

During warmups(,|) before the game started/i

or this:

During warmups(,)? before the game started/i

There is no reason to include an optional comma at the end of the expected correct answer. Please be careful with the blank spaces too.

Hi Helen,

Not sure the hammer was the best choice of symbol for the Core Developers group. I invite anyone interested in the tool/instrument/machine paradigm to read the relevant passage in my PhD thesis (in French) where I develop the idea that the "instrument" metaphor is better suited to describe the computer (and its applications) than the "tool" metaphor. However, I have to admit that a harpsichord icon might not be more significant in the case at hand.

Too bad that moodle.org stopped short of making this new symbol an all-embracing symbol for "the proletariat of all moodlers of the world" (see attached suggestion, courtesy of my daughter Cali).

All the best,

Joseph

1. I create a new questionnaire called , DVLP1516_QU_01 which I set as "private".
ok
2. Then I define the content of the questionnaire Use Public,INET1601_Course_Evaluation , which was created in another course.
OK
3. When I click continue, and the DVLP1516_QU_01 questionnaire is created, it defaults to Questionnaire Type: Public. It doesn't stay private!
That's right, any questionnaire created using a public questionnaire can only have the "public" status.
4. It won't let me edit the questionairre,
Of course, you have created a new questionnaire using a public questionnaire, so you cannot edit its questions, you can only modify some of its settings. A public questionnaire can only be edited by its original creator, in the course where it was originally created. The responses to questionnaires created "using a public questionnaire" can only be viewed in the original creator, in the course where it was originally created.
4.b "the new questionnaire has the same name as the one INET1601_Course_Evaluation does when I click on it to view it."
I do not understand this.
I hope things are clearer now. It would be even clearer if you said exactly what you want to achieve from the start. Maybe you are confusing Template and Public questionnaires? Have you read the online documentation?
