This problem was projected earlier,too by someone and i HAD TRIED TO REPRODUCE IT but failed. In my Moodle, 1.6.1, the linking of images works perfectly. maybe something to do with version. what version are you using?

your 150 qs, once sent to the quiz will look like this
How long have you been using the quiz module, Chris?
It's very much possible what you want and is rather clearly explained in the documentation.
you will have to add 10 random questions from your 350 Qs 15 times to make it 150 random qs which will not be repeated.
