The system is not perfect, but, it works.

No argument here. The suggestion is that the system can remain not perfect but work better.

Reports usually work by course id not by course name so it's not likely to work.

• The Dataform offers an additional group mode 'separate participants' that makes it an individual activity regardless of approval and without groups.
• The Dataform is prepared for activity grading as a whole.
• Dataform Views can be set to group entries by student.
• The Dataform can be set to weekly intervals with max entries per interval.

That's not really a shame, just a lot of work and given the current backlog with many useful possible enhancements, it is unlikely to happen unless someone commissions it.
