Moodle in English -> Gradebook -> Grade Exports -> Re: Grade Exports

Judy Hsu-mit -

Hi Bob, this is a very helpful SQL query. Thanks!

I did notice that it would NOT return the course "fullname" and course ID where students are enrolled in, would it be possible rewrite the query so that it would JOIN the table of mdl_course (or other related mdl_course_xxxx tables) so that it will also display course info? Thanks!!

Hi all,

Just wondering that for the moodlecron-setup.exe, does it only allow ONE Moodle instance on one Windows server, or can I use it to set up multiple Moodle instances that are running on the same Windows server? Thanks!

Moodle in English -> Gradebook -> Gradebook, quiz, and conditional activities

Dear all,

Couple of quick questions:

1. Is there a way to overwrite quiz scores in gradebook? I have tried it on Moodle 2.2.1+ but it was NOT working.

2. Let's say that if I'm using "conditional activities" in Moodle 2.2 (or 2.3) and want to have students to score 80% or higher For Quiz #1 before they can access Quizk #2. If I CAN manually overwrite Quiz #1 scores in gradebook (or at quiz level), would gradebook "talk back" to quiz module, so that students can then access Quiz #2 after the manual overwrite? (e.g. a student was scored 78% and was originally NOT able to access Quiz #2, but after the manual overwrite and change the Quiz #1 grade to 80% then that student can access Quiz #2....)

Thanks!

No, at least NOT for the latest Moodle 1.9.x and 2.3.x as that would expose a security hole. If you do find a way to determine the version of Moodle using a student or guest login please let us know as that should be fixed as a potential security issue.

I like this idea too and I have a related question to ask the community.

For our school, sometimes students were transferred from other schools during the middle of the semester, and we need to be able to "manually" specify a passing grades for the "quizzes" or "assignments" so that Moodle can unlock content for these students. This does NOT seem to work with the current "conditional activities" implementation right? I guess it depends on how the "conditional activities" module is checking the passing grades (from the gradebook, or from the assignmentn/quiz module)... If this is the case, is there a work-around for this?? Thanks a lot!
