1.5.x doesn't get new features, just bug fixes (even if an elegant patch existed it could only go into 1.6 or 1.7). On this issue though, keep an eye on cvs:/contrib/aem

As I think of it a Portfolio can be all of those things if it includes categories and tagging - you can have "official" documents mixed in with reflections/diary stuff, and publish different parts to different people.
The problem is how should Moodle implement such things?
I too would like to see more information from people about this, preferably from those who have some experience trying to implement portfolios.

About the "blog" game ... if we actually had such a thing do you think anyone would use the forums?
As you have experience, may I ask you to help educate us on what you think good e-portfolio systems should do?
For context, see also this discussion on Forums, Blogs and the nature of discussion.

Yes, yes, and yes. Very nice!
This is almost identical in interface to the new "Repository" resource type that we checked in today
This new Resource type will eventually support a variety of submodules for various repositories (currently we just have one) ... anyhow I'm sure it will be trivial to integrate all your NLN work into Moodle 1.6 if that's what you would like.
