I would like to experiement with Moodle on my laptop.  Which version do I download to my laptop?  I can't find the answer to my question....  Help, please!

If you want a local instance (which works very well, I use mine all the time!), go to this page:
http://download.moodle.org/

And look at the tabs at the top. If you have a mac, download the mac package. If you have windows, download the windows package.

Sometimes on windows, at least, it takes a long time to unzip. You might consider using a zip tool like shellzip or winzip if you dislike waiting.

Here is a page with links to instructions--just find the section on the package you want to use.

Thank you!  I have another quick question....sorry....  It said Windows XP.... I use Vista.....will I need to go anything different?

I think you should try the window version and install on vista. I can't guarantee though, as my laptop still has XP!
