We're just in the process of looking at 1.9 and testing it out before going live.
Love all the new improvements to the Gradebook. Sorely needed. Biggest feature for us it the 'Overview Report'.
Now, I know there's some issues with displaying a final grade and hopefully that will get resolved soon. However, my question is more about the use of Scales.
We use a Pass, Merit, Distinction system and our awarding body determines grades by totalling these smaller grades. For example, three tasks awarded Pass/Merit/Merit would be awarded a Merit overall.
My question is - is there anything I can do to get Moodle to 'work this out' and give the student a final grade? Or does this only work when dealing with %'s.
