Sometimes it should be possible for teachers to change students password, without having all rights of an administrator. The test starts - "Ups I dont remember my password", E-Mail notification ist canceld, to prefent students using that instrument for communicartion ...

Which part of the code has to to be changed, that in a course teachers may change the userprofile and the password ....?

Peter, have you tried to login as teacher, then from "participants" click on "login as",and go to the student profile for password changing?

How to do it on external database? Using the same module...

Genner, you mean using "external authentication"? Not tried, but the functionality should be the same.

It doesnt do the same thing, but it does change only in the moodle_user but not in the external database.
