Non Guest External Roles

Hi All,

I want to set up a set of users that are external to our site. I need them to be able to access one course only in a specific category.

We do not use the guest account and have made a new role called "Extranet Students" - which is a copy of the student role tweaked.

I do not want these users to have write access anywhere apart from the "Virtual Reading Group" in the "LRC" Category.

I have tried many times to get this to work to no avail, All help is mostly appreciated.

Hi Michael,

Please note that course access is controlled by enrolment plugins, rather than by particular roles settings. If internal enrolment is enabled on your site, then you can prevent extranet students from enrolling on additional courses by setting enrolment keys.
