Resource types

I miss the possibility to create a sequence of resources in a format like the Lesson activity. I guess it wouldnt be too hard to write an acitivity that allows you to create a sequence of resources (reusing resources in a course) and combine them with assignment. You should have the possibility to restrict access to a resource if the student has not completed for example an assignment in the sequence. To further clarify with an example:

Resource 1 (i e a web page) --> question (from question bank) --> Resource 2 (if previous was answered correct) --> Assignment

How do I do this or could we develop an activity for this??
