Hotpot and moodle

Hello

I have a number of Hotpot JQuizzes that I would like to upload to Moodle. As many of the quizzes contain images I'm not sure how to upload them AND their associated image files. Advice/procedure/links would be greatly appreciated!

Just upload the images into the same folder of your moodle course. Moodle will do the rest for you. smile
I think it is helpful to have a subfolder for hotpot exercises.

Hello Christian

Many thanks for your advice. I have done as you instructed .... the moodle quiz and its images are contained in the same folder within the Moodle course. However, when I run the quiz the usual jquiz format is displayed - questions and responses - but NO images!!! I guess I must be doing something wrong!

HI Christian,
are images displayed OK anywhere on your site? If not you may have to change the "slasharguments" setting in the Site Administration block on the site's main page: Server -> HTTP -> slasharguments

Otherwise, check you are using relative (i.e. not absolute) links in in the <img> tags in the HP quiz. Also, check there are no spaces in the image file name.

If you are still at a loss, please try uploading the images and quiz to my server and so we can look at it together.
best regards
Gordon

Hello Rick,

It's usually most practical to zip up your Hot Pot exercises + images + audio or video files and upload the zip file to the Files section on Moodle. Each exercise and its accompanying images, etc. should be unzipped into individual folders in the Files section.

Cheers,
Glenys
