Moodle version: 1.7.1+ (2006101010)
I can't perform courses backups.
I need this desperately since I have template courses which I use for different classes fo students.
What happens is that it actually creates the zip file but in the end, while copying it says: "an error occurred while copying the zip file to the course directory. the backup up did not complete successfuly."
Is this a permission problem?
Where is this course directory? Is it under the moodledata directory?
I have this directory under /data/moodledata and the permissions are 777!
Who can help me with this annoying problem?
See file attached.
Thank you in advance, Mariana
Hi,
This problem has already been reported. It seeems that you have a problem of memory. Your backup has been successfuly made, but It cannnot be copied in your directory.
Increase the values of these parameters in you Php.ini:
post_max_size
upload_max_filesize
memory_limit
Good luck

I changed to 100M the 3 limits. Reloaded Apache.
No change. Still the same error.
It is not a memory limit since I made a backup course test with an empty course (no contents, no students, nothing at all).
I am really getting crazy here with this error...who can help me?

I just found out that I have this same problem. I have limited access to the site it is on (Linux server) and I'm running the same version as Mariana.
I would be really greatful to find out a way around this before something worse happens..
