Articulate Engage files published as SCORM not loading in Moodle 1.8 viewed thru VPN

I am using MS-Powerpoint 2007, Articulate presenter, engage and quizmaker, and Moodle 1.8. I created interactivities through engage in PPT. I published the course for LMS-SCORM 1.2 in Articulate.

I have uploaded the zipped file to Moodle 1.8. The published output is working well in the local drive as well as in our intranet site.

When I tested from internet(VPN), Engage interactions are not loading. In quizmaker also, in-built MP3 click sounds are not working. Flash movies (.swf) take a very long time for loading , i.e. buffering takes time.  I got the error message.

When I contacted the Articulate support team, they mentioned that Moodle has been known to cause issues with Articulate. Can anyone suggest me the solution for this problem?

Hi George
This is not the reply for your query you have posted. I need your help, since you have worked in Articulate presenter.

I have installed moodle 1.8.2 in our website to a linux server. Using SCORM as activity I upload a SCORM file generate by the articulate presenter, when I previewed the SCORM file in moodle it shows me a blank screen saying “ NO INPUT FILE SPECIFIED” .

I request you to help me in sorting this issue.

George,

I am having an issue identical to the one you are having. I was just wondering if you have found a solution.

HI Jeremy,

the above posts relate to an unsupported Moodle version - when using SCORM you must be using 1.9.3 or higher - earlier versions of Moodle have very buggy SCORM handling.

Dan,

Thanks for the reply. We are currently running version 1.9.3. This issue does not affect all users. Clients at most locations are not experiencing this issue. However, a small percentage of users are unable to successfully complete the Engage activities within the Articulate SCORM package. Also, there is an issue with audio accompaniment not playing with some users experiencing this problem. The audio format is mp3. It sounds to me like some sort of browser or security setting on their network. Are there any specific browser requirements for launching an Articulate SCORM package? Could a firewall possibly alter the behavior of the activity? I appreciate any ideas you may have.
