Please help me, I'm at my wits end as to how to fix this problem.
I'm running Moodle 1.8.2 and it's housed on a Linux server.
I don't seem to be able to have teachers add their own course to the site, I have to approve each course, which doesn't seem right, as I've checked all of the right dots to allow this, but alas, not to be.
Also, have a chat on the site, but it seems to run out of puff and not log-in, just comes up with not connected screen, don't know what the problem here is, as I've tested it on several different machines, in several locations on dial-up to ADSL 8000/386, and none work chat.
The most important is the ability for teachers to be able to make their own courses up and add their students, not make me do all the work as Admin, which I know can be done, but I'm missing something somewhere.
If some kind person could help me it would be very much appreciated, as while our school is getting a server for Moodle, it won't be for a little while yet, and I'm trying to utilise my Moodle site to train other teachers and it's imperative all things work so they can get a good idea on it's attributes and not it's failings.
Cheers
Stuart
Hi Stuart,
Regarding enabling teachers to make their own courses, have you tried assigning them the role of course creator? Please see the course creator documentation for more details.
