Languages

I am working on a Module for Moodle but it is really important to me that I make sure that the content that is entered into the Module can be accessed by multiple languages.I am looking for someone willing to help me understand what I need to do to do this.

I want the site visitor to be able to change languages at any time that they are on the site, not just on the home page.

I would also be interested in someone helping me come up with a "prettier" way to be able to change languages. I think that drop down box is sort of ugly. Maybe an ajax pop-up or a prettier slider of some sort. Even a prettier drop down box would be nice. I could come up with a more appealing look, but I need to know how to integrate the "prettier" version.

In fact, I am sure the entire Moodle community would love a prettier version. I think that this is definately something that could end up in the core if it turns out to be done well.
