Is there a way to hide grades in the gradebook from students?
When posting questions, it is useful to put as much information as you can so that others can offer the best assistance. Include a full description of the question and the version of Moodle that you are using.
If you are using 1.8 for example you can set categories where one category has no weight, and then put items you don't want to include into the category that has no weight. E.g. Two categories: "assessed" and "not assessed"; set weight assessed to 100 and not assessed to 0. Then use set categories on each item.
OR
If you want to hide the gradebook completely you could edit course settings to hide grades.
