Several of my members have complained because there is no registration link for my moodle site. I have looked into it, and can find nothing on my site to register new users. I can do it manually after I log in, but there is no registration link for anyone. How do I add this link onto my main site page?
My site is www.bibletalkcafe.com/moodle/
Thanks,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
To have a registration link you need to enable email-based self-registration via Administration > Users > Authentication.
To have a registration link you need to enable email-based self-registration via Administration > Users > Authentication.
Thanks. I checked, and it is enabled (open eye icon). Any other suggestions? It seems that when I registered my first account, I had a link, but now if I wanted to register a new account (say a student account for me), I am unable to do so unless I go in to Admin > Users> Accounts>Add new users.
If I try logging out, and look for a register link, it is not there. Does moodle only allow self-registering one time from one IP address?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Sincerely,
Ryan

Hi
Check please if you have Self registration on Administration► Users► Authentication set to Email based self-registration.
If you were manipulating with others auth settings, it may switched to Disabled and it is really hard to notice ;).
Hope this helps.

Thanks a million! That worked. I didn't scroll down far enough to see that... just saw the open eye icon near the top.
Thanks again!
