since we upgraded to 1.8.2, myself or even the admin account cannot delete any user. we are using ldap authentication. but this doesn't matter, we can't delete anyone.

that's all it says. nothing more.
It seems the database is refusing to update the record of the user (to mark is as deleted) for some unknown reason. You'll need to have a look at your database server query logs to see what's going on.
