Hello,

I am new to this group but appreciate all who have contributed!

I am having problems exporting my attendance report to any of the three choices, excel,open office, or text file. When logged in as the teacher of the course.

I get and error that says:
Sorry, but you do not currently have permissions to do that (attendance:export)

If I login as the moodle admin the report works fine.

Any ideas?

I am having problems too but I have found a "workaround" solution.  With the attendance report on the screen, select the text and copy it.  Open Excel and paste - the data is pasted into the spreadsheet in the correct columns and everything. 

I think there are permission issues for this problem but not within Moodle.  We are researching our Windows Server to see what the read/write permissions are set for that particular folder.  You may check that and see if those are set correctly.

Thanks for the quick fix. It works just fine. I tried messing with the directory permissions for the attendance module but did not have any luck. I finally gave up. I have a apache server that moodle is running on.

Is your teacher "Non-editing teacher"?
By default only teachers with editing rights can export. But you can override this right using Roles->Override roles.
