Inspired by the discussion in this thread, it allows each block to have it's own playlist of videos, from which it will select one at random to display on the page.

where do I get verison.php
I having problem with few other modules too.
Thanx in advance.
Hi,
I am also really interested in this block but where do I install it.
I have insalled it in "Blocks" and I have run my admin/index.php and it still does not appear anywhere on my moodle.
Should I have installed it in "Mod" like Ahmet did. When I do that and run my admin/index.php, I get the same message as him.
I have also added the language files so that is okay but how do I get the block on the moodle.
Thanks for your help.
Patti
Hi Ahmet,
I have just gotten my YouTube to run.
You have installed the youtube_video file in mod and it should be installed in "blocks".
Patti
Hi Patti,

Hi Ahmet,
You might need to just delete all of it, run your index and then start over again.
Don't forget to look in your moodle "site administration" section in "modules" and click on "blocks" to be sure it is deleted before you try to reinstall it.
After you reinstall it, run your index again and then check to see if it appears in your "site administration" section under blocks.
Good luck. I hope this helps.
Patti
Hi Chris,
Any luck with this? We're using Clipshare and would like to do the same.

Paul,
I just added the Youtube block to my site and in one of my courses. This course is setup for guest access. However, when you open the course, the Youtube block appears with the title and description of the video, but no video plays.
I have tried on several different computers and get the same results on all.
Any suggestions?
Paul,
Here is the video "How To Create a Wireless Network at Home"
It doesn't seem to matter which video I put in the block, they all do the same.
Here is the link to my course http://165.139.77.25/course/view.php?id=9
I am running Moodle ver 1.8.3 on a Windows 2000 server, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Paul,
It seems that after re-starting the server this morning, my video link is working.
I am going to try some different videos, just to make sure. I'll let you know if there are any other problems.
I am just wanted to test it now before my teachers start using it.
Do you know if videos from TeacherTube will work as well as YouTube?
Thanks,
Roy
Hi and thanks for such a terrific block! The videos work wonderfully.
I see a few problems and thought I'd ask about them:
Can this be fixed inside my Cornflower theme?
I'really find this block useful on the front of my moodle site as well as in the teacher/student training courses and specific student courses.
Can you help me with this? Thanks very much. Ms. Letha
