Presentations created in Camtasia & captivate not veiwable

Dear Sir/Madam,

I could upload & view all types of files such Power Point presentations, Images etc. but not the presentation created in camtasia or Captivate.

I made a screencast in Camtasia, then I zipped all the files & uploaded it.

After that I unzipped it. Then I chose .html file for linking.

But when I try to see the screencast in resourses it doesn't show.

The message shows you have to enable java or download latest macomedia flash.

But I have already enabled Java & I have the latest flash.

Can anybody help?

I think you need to turn on the Multimedia Plug-ins.
Go to: Site Administration > Modules > Filters > Multimedia Plug-ins.

Did you try to link directly to the camtasia/captivate file?
Did you try it with an other browser?

Can you send me a link to the file so I can see if it is just your browser? If it will help....

Have done plenty of these and had no problems.

I logged in as a Guest user and I received the same error using IE 7.
I usually post Camtasia productions as a wav file. I’ll try producing one as a flash file.

Do you have any questions in your presentation?

I have the same trouble with a Camtasia (ver 4) flash file.
A Captivate flash file works OK (just 2 files: 1 hmt and 1 swf)

I was able to get a Camtasia swf file to run by Choosing the swf directly. So the file doesn’t have a preloader. See attached bmp

Dear Sir,

I was also able to run plain swf file but then what about controls etc.. Thus, if I want to run complete presentation with control buttons etc. what should I do?

I was able to run complete presentations with controls etc. on my Local moodle installed.

Thus the problem is with Moodle or hosting server?

 Please help.

Mahesh,
Possible solution: When you produce your Camtasia swf, use the SCORM setting to package everything in one zip file. You can use Moodle's SCORM activity to upload the single file. The swf with controls will then be available to your users.
