Hi Nick,
this is becoming a real FAQ . You can only choose an interactive enrolment method in the course settings.
If you are using DB enrolment, then you are not using interactive enrolments at all.
Interactive is meant for manual enrolment, or paypal, or things like that, where the user has to do something interactively to be enrolled into the course (like clicking 'Yes, I do', o paying some money, etc.).
This is why you won't be able to select DB enrolment. And you shouldn't
