I still have a problem playing Moodle-delivered WMV video files in Firefox. There are many threads on this topic, but I could find no solution. I get the same error message from Windows Media Player, re unable to load a sound filter.
Any ideas how to deliver video content successfully for all browsers?
Thanks
Hi Michael
This is not a problem with Moodle but with Microsoft.

Erightsoft Super is pretty super and free for converting files to flash too.
The .flv and .swf multimedia filters do work in 1.8. To include a Flash movie or animation, just link to an uploaded file within Moodle.
Also, this problem with .wmv and Firefox are nothing new. Firefox can't play .mpg or .avi either. Quicktime seems to work, but I found many of my students did not have the plug-in installed.
