I've recently embedded video in a few of my courses. The video works fine in IE but not in firefox. I've checked firefox on two different computers so I'm sure it's not my installation.
What happens is that the player shows up but doesn't resize to the actual video dimensions and won't play at all.
Would you specify the video format and its size?
the videos range in size from less than 1mb to 120mb and format is wmv
Hello - I have had the same problem. I had posted a screen shot of an error message I get with FF a couple of months ago. It happens at what seems random times. Even without the error message, I get no video.
I will report that with FF 1.0.x, I never have been able to play video, but with FF 1.5.x, it will play on occasion. The file types I have tried are .avi, .mpg and .wmv. I have not been able to get .flv files to play in either browser. This happens on my 1.5.3+ site and my 1.6 test site.
It would be great to find a solution for this.

Update - After linking to an mpeg file, I get a notice that I need to install Apple's Quicktime. With quicktime installed, I still get no video with Firefox, and .avi files will no longer play in IE. Uninstalling Quicktime put everything as it was; IE works, FF does not.
Has anyone been able to play video in FF?

Hi Linguist, I saw you in others forums about joomla/mambo, and I wish you tell me if you have used moodle-joomla integration in your site (esl.seans-english.com or one another) and HOW have you been integrated these, because I´m trying do it but I can´t
Thanks very much
