Hi,
Does the function strip_tags() (used in function clean_text() in weblib.php) have a limitation of characters of the url that it accepts as a parameter. I have a url which is 3064 characters long. When i try to strip this url, I am not able to do so. On the contrary If i try to strip a smaller url of 100 - 200 characters, I can do so successfully.

I came across a URL http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.strip-tags.php. wherein some of the developers have commented that the strip_tags() function accepts a URL whose length is limited to 1024 characters.
If that is the case, can anyone please help me as to how to strip the tags of a URL which is too long say about 3000 - 4000 characters or more. The URL that I wish to strip is :
