How to determine the version of installed Moodle?

How to determine the version of installed Moodle?

by Michael Vilkin -
Number of replies: 5

I've asked my hosting provider to upgrade to the new version, Moddle 1.8.

They charged me for $75, but never notified me that the work has been done, and they don't answer my e-mails.

How can I determine the version installed?

Also, does Moodle have a capability for e-mail?

How to go about e-mail?

Thanks.

Michael,

To see the version of moodle you can visit your sites main page and mouse over the "moodle" logo at the bottom.

As for e-mail... not sure what you mean.

Thank you, Jeff.

About e-mail... how can a site administrator create an email address, like  administrator@sitename.com  ?

Or should I create an e-mail address on Yahoo or somewhere else and post a message like

"Contact me at myname@yahoo.com?

Thanks.

Michael,

You are welcome.

As for the e-mail... this should be easy to do.

Is your site "hosted" and do you have access to some server tools (e.g. cpanel)? If so you can create email address via cpanel.

Let me know how your site is setup and I will try to help with the email setup.

Feel free to contact me off list via my email.

Jeff,

I've sent an e-mail to you.

Hope it will not get killed by a spam filter.
