After logging into my site as "mock student," I had problems logging in again as the administrator. Only after deleting the Moodle cookie, was I able to log in again as admin. Is there any way to avoid this in the future? I can always use a different browser, but...
Thanks in advance.
Steven,
You can login as any student while still logged in as an admin, by going to "Participants" and selecting Login as within a students profile. This displays a dual login and allows you to view the course exactly as they do.
Hope this helps,
Bryan
Thanks Bryan, very helpful. Though I'm still wondering why I couldn't log in this morning until after deleting my Moodle cookie. Perhaps I am missing something else here.
Best,
Steven

Shouldn't be a problem ... I can log out as one user then log back in as another anytime.

It's my router/firewall, I'm quite sure now. So I'll need to figure out how to set up a better connection.
Thanks Martin.

Thanks Martin.

Weird... it doesn't sound like a firewall problem. Possibly a screwed up cache. The session cookies are stored on the users machine, shouldn't be anything to do with the router.
Well, my session would be dropped all of a sudden. Then later it would work again just as mysteriously. I am trying to eliminate potential problems. I have cleared the cache and deleted the Moodle cookie, but the problem arose again later. Perhaps it was the same problem but I started looking at other issues. Someone else mentioned problems with their firewall settings in a topic on HTML editor. Since I had exactly the same problem, it seemed plausible.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. Just trying to figure it out. Yesterday I lost a lot of editing changes because of a lost session. It's not Moodle, nor my web host. So it has to be something on my end, no?
Thanks.
Steven
PS Nice picture!
