Hi guys.

I'm a tech at Gladstone Park SC in Melbourne Australia.

I've been told to install Moodle 1.7 on IIS6, using PHP 5.2.1 and mysql 5.0.37

I get to install.php choose english as my language, all php settings pass i choose

D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\moodle as web address

(when i choose http://7858as1/moodle as the addy i get an error telling me that it cant find the website, even though this (http://7858as1/moodle/install.php) is what appears in the address bar of my browser :P)

D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\moodle as moodle directory

D:\moodledata as data directory

Moodle picks up my database just fine and i get a list of OKs on the next screen.

The next screen asks me to download a language pack, it tells me i can just continue if i want it in english, i click next then i get to the configuration completed screen, with config.php saved.

clicking continue i get the grand old ' this page can not be displayed' page with this 'http://7858as1/moodle/index.php?lang=en_utf8'  as the url

I set up the mysql database  using the commands found on this site

http://docs.moodle.org/en/Installing_Moodle#Using_the_command_line

If i delte the config.php file i can restart the instalation...

Does anyone know what im doing wrong?    Is it language based? is it something to do with SQL?        :S

I'm at a loss as to where i can go from here...

please help?       smile
