Problems accessing the URL of my Moodle system from my LAN

I fallow all your instructions installing Moodle on My Linux Server, so in the php configuration file I put prescott.edu.pe like the root of my site, instead of www.prescott.edu.pe. Now from every where outside of my school I dont have problems to reach my Moodle System. But my students who try to  reach it from inside our LAN can't do it, because we have an ISA Server who handless the DNSs and it cant reach prescott.edu.pe because its not a valid address. Their pointers only can look to www.prescott.edu.pe The windows specialist told me that he cant change that, because its to difficult. Instead he is asking me to install again moddle giving it in the configuration this address: www.prescott.edu.pe, (whit the 3 w; I mean www) instead of only  prescott.edu.pe

Can some one tell me if this is the a good solution? Do you think it would solve the problem?

And if the answer is yes, how can I uninstall moodle to re install it again? I cant figure out how to do that.

Finally, Is there a way to make a Back up of my lessons so I can restore them again when I correct this addressing problem?

OK, whatever happens you won't need to uninstall Moodle. You just need to make some changes in config.php. You haven't really given enough information to give you specific answer though.

Why did you set up moodle's config.php with http://presecott.edu.pe/? Unless you want to have some sort of virtual host arrangement (which you could) then the www. should be there for everything. If you do want to have virtual hosts, then internal and external DNS would both have to point both prescott.edu.pe AND www.prescott.edu.pe to the same place. (which shouldn't be hard).

But regardless, this should just be a matter of changing your config.php, perhaps you should post it as an attachment.

Thank you very much. You where right. It wasnt any difficult. I just have to change the config.php and punt www.prescott.edu.pe instead of just prescott.edu.pe. Now its working OK. Im only having problems with images, maybe because of the URLs. But this is not really a problem. I can handle it.

Its true that Im checking it now inside my LAN, and I dont know how it looks form outside, but I have to suppose that its working fine too. Isnt it?
