I'm currently running Moodle 1.6.X on a Win 2003 environment. I've been running Moodle for about 3 years and it has been working great. Recently I needed to activate the Language Select drop down and was unable to do it.
In the Variables screen I've selected to allow users to select their own language. The default language selection in this screen drop down is empty, thus not allowing a selected language for the entire site. I have 3 language packs loaded (Eng, FR and SP). I save the settings.
When I go back to the Main Page, there is no prefer language drop down. When I go to the user's profile, there is a Prefer language flag but no drop down next to it.
Can someone assist with this issue?
