I'm thinking of using glossary for an advanced Chinese class--glossing the more difficult vocabulary. I glossed one term already but it does not show up in the assigned reading. So obviously I am either doing something wrong, or non-roman languages may have problems. The Chinese text in question was originally unicode before being converted into HTML entities. Thanks. I have the same problem with French accented characters for HTML files prepared with Dreamweaver, which translates the accented characters into the proper HTML code. So the terms are not recognised by the glossary where I input the terms directly from the keyboard.
