How does one change the layout of the front page, beyond the preset options? I find them a bit unintuitive. I think it would be nice to put the general description in the center of the page, rather than on the right side, since new visitors to a website naturally will read what is in the center first.
I agree with you that it would be nice to have another option that puts the site description into the middle frame. You have to add the extra option to cvs:/moodle/index.php.
It's on the side because generally you'll have a lot more repeat visitors than new ones, but like Gustav said, index.php is not too hard to edit.
