Moodle in English: moodle 1.5 to 1.6

Hi,

I plan to upgrade moodle to 1.6 shortly. I am running MYSQ 4.1.9 and PHP 4.3. Should I upgrade MYSQL, PHP first or will they be OK with 1.6?

I am slightly nervous about upgrading the database, could anyone give me any good tips to avoid disaster apart from backing up?

...as you have correctly identified you need to update your database. Your PHP version is fine. How you upgrade it depends on how it was installed in the first place really. However, the numero uno thing is to back it up before doing the upgrade.
