Can I use a quiz for website evaluation

Hi, I am working on an online class and I would like to use the quiz feature for a website evaluation form. I cant seem to figure out how to set it up to do what I want. I want students to use the same form to submit 4 different website evaluations therefore I want them to be able to submit 4 SEPARATE quizzes with the following questions:

Website address – text box to type address in

Rate the site on a scale of 1 – 5 – radial buttons

Is the site easy to navigate – yes/no

Do the links work – yes/no

What do you like about this site? Text box to type in

What do you dislike about this site? Text box to type in

At first I wanted to use the survey feature for this but I didn’t realize I cant create my own survey. So now I am trying to use the quiz format – I don’t however want it to be graded – no right answers and I want students to view each others evaluations. Is this possible???

Thanks

You certainly can. The quiz itself can be set to be worth zero points, and each individual question can also be set to be worth 0 points.

If you want 4 separate website evaluations, then you'll need to set up 4 separate quizes. But that shouldn't be hard since you can recycle the same questions for them all.

For the "text box" questions, as long as you're looking for very brief answers, you can use "short answer" questions. If you want fuller answers, then you'll need to use the Journal feature for those questions.

I use a Journal entry at the end of every semester for my students to evaluate the class.

If I follow you right, you could just easily do this as a discussion forum. It won't enforce the format quite as rigorously, but so what? Tell them to cut the following, post a new forum and paste this into it, and add to each item:

1.=======First Site=============
-URL of visited site: (e.g. http://www.moodle.org)
-Ease of Navigation: (1-5)
-Ease of Use (
....
2.========Second Site============
-URL of visited site: (e.g. http://www.moodle.org)
-Ease of Navigation: (1-5)
-Ease of Use (
....
3.======= 3rd Site============
-URL of visited site: (e.g. http://www.moodle.org)
-Ease of Navigation: (1-5)
-Ease of Use (
....

Or you could make a new forum for each set (site 1, site 2, etc...). I use forums for almost all assignments that involve practical work (from website development to java code) and you can assign points to them, do one post per student, allow replies, etc.... They are also publicly available to all, and you can even allow peer ratings.

Would this not meet your needs?
