I'm curious why Moodle allows only one attachment for a forum posting (or assignment submission), rather than allowing as many attachments as can be included under the maximum size. This can present difficulties for certain of my students, who would be hard-pressed to merge multiple (small) files related to their postings. Perhaps this limitation is to be addressed in an upcoming version?
I solve this by using ZIPs, this is a save way to upload files (no problem with firewalls ...)

Hi all
I realise this is a very old post . . . but is there a way to post more than one attachment?

Hi, Harry,
I have always thought that would be a good feature.

Hi Art
How's things?
Yeah, seems strange to only be able to have one attachment, when searching I came across a multi-upload hack for the assignment module so maybe it's not such a simple thing as it would seem?
