In Moodle v4.3 course, I have a quiz (Quiz 1) where in completion conditions I have set (Receive any grade).

Then I have added a resource (URL) where I have restrict the access to the student unless the Quiz 1 is completed (must be marked complete).

 tried to test the above from a test student account and I took the test (with failed grade). In Reports "Activity completion" for this user the quiz 1 is marked as completed (Quiz 1: Completed (did not achieve pass grade).

However when I try to see the resource, it is marked with: "Not available unless: The activity Quiz 1 is marked complete"


What am I missing?

Do you have the Quiz settings for Grade to pass set? Because I believe that there is a tracker issue about Quiz Activity completion doesn't work correctly with the update to v4. Not sure if it has been fixed with the latest update of v4.5.

I found a walkaround for my issue. I placed both "must be complete with fail grade" "must be complete with pass grade" and it worked..

Interesting workaround 🤪 

Wacky, but it does the trick with both opposite options satisfying the completion.
I may even go back and make some of those completion change settings until the issue is resolved. However I hope that this little issue is resolved in one of the updates. Until then thanks for sharing your workaround.

I think this is related also to MDL-75582
This seems to be happening at any grading activity.
