Help!

I have an instructor using a letter scale. He has graded an assignment, and in the graded item, and in the single view of the item, these are the grades:

(above - single item view within grade book - grades match the activity).

NOW: when I look at the Grader Report (with editing turned OFF) or I look at an individual student's grades, the letter grades are different.

Here's a screen of this item within the grader report:

And these much lower scores are what's being reported into the single user view. When I turn editing on (in Grader Report view) I get the actual grades (as noted above).

What's happening here!

I have not mulitplicators set and there have been no overrides.

Basic question: Is there any hidden grade items in the gradebook that should be part of the student's evaluation and grades where is calculated course total? If yes, that is possible reason.

E.g. you have assignment (with numerical values) 0-10, quiz with points 0-10 and another quiz hidden from students (changed after taking the quiz) with points 0-10. Student A gets 5, 5 and 10, student B gets 10, 8 and 0 and student C gets 10, 5 and 10. Total points should be A: 20/30=67% of course total point but it shows 10/30=33% of course total, Student be has 18/30 (60%) should be same and student C has 15/30 (50%) should be 25/30 (83%). The "Grade letters" shows what the grade should be. If you show the grades of this hidden grade item, all calculations should be same. Teacher see the real value like all values would be visible, student see only visible grade items and their calculation to course total (just recently experienced situation in real course where grade items was hidden by teacher and some got course total, some didn't at all).

But I have similar experience that this is not always the case where all grade items are visible for students and you have there extra credentials given, this changes the table and I have no idea why and how.

What do you mean that you get actual grades when you you turn editing on? Numeric values or letters? Maybe share grade settings for the activity and also for the gradebook - have the grades been overwritten in the gradebook?
