"preview quiz" fro the teacher role

Hello!

When a teacher accesses a quiz activity, a "preview quiz " button is displayed.

1.- From that "preview quiz" button the teacher can view all the questions that the quiz has just as a student sees them. What I didn't know is that if the teacher enters, he gives him the option to answer the questions, that is, to make an attempt just as a student would do, it shows him the summary of the attempt, it shows him the option to "send all and finish", then it shows him a summary with all the answers the teacher has provided as if he was a student and finally it shows him as indicated in the image above in the "summary of your previous attempts" table. I don't understand this functionality that Moodle offers when accesed with a  Teacher's profile. That is to say, what sense does it make that a teacher can answer and send questions in the same way as a student? The most logical thing would be for the teacher to only see the attempts of his students. Does anyone understand this functionality from the teacher's point of view?

2.- From the "attempts:1" link shown in the previous image the teacher can access the list of all the quiz attempts made by the different students. From here the teacher can see what each student has done and grade it. My question is, is there any other way for the teacher to see everything that each student has done, whether a grade is pending or not, etc. from another site without the teacher having to access exactly within the activity?

3. If the previous question is affirmative, could the teacher see it not only for a specific course but for several courses? Let me explain, in my company they are developing a course in which each unit is a Moodle course. Therefore, they need a teacher to be able to see all the tasks that their students have completed in the different courses or units. Does Moodle offer this option? Or would a separate development have to be carried out for this purpose?

Thank you.
María

Reports are the key instead of viewing each student's attempts and progress.
If you are in Moodle 4.4+ you can quickly snap together a Custom Report the reports on Course Progress and/or Quiz Grades.
I only go into a specific student's attempt if they are struggling to see which questions are posing an issue.
Kind Regards

Hello Shirley!

My version of Moodle is 4.3.2.
Could you tell me how those reports are created from the teacher's point of view? From the teacher role you do not have access to the site administration. Where does a teacher create these reports?

Thank you so much.

Yes. Once I set a quiz I want to go through it again (and again) to make sure it behaves exactly the way I want and the questions don't have mistakes (to my knowledge). I don't want all those checking to be recorded. And that is exactly what Moodle does, those are "previews" as opposed to "attempts".

Hello Visvanath!
Thanks for your answer, now I understand the meaning of that functionality. That is, the teacher tests the exercises so that he can verify that each question does what he really wants.

Thanks a lot.

Now I got Q1 correct, I move on to Q2.

Well, I don't think another _site_ would allow access from your Moodle. If you meant other Activities in the same Course, the answer is the Grader_report.

A further suggestion: Combine the grader report with Activity_completion and Activity_completion_report to guide your learner on a narrow path.

P.S. Sorry, with Q2 and Q3 we are out of the Quiz, which is the topic of this forum.

Sorry, you´re right ,I didn't realize that the third question was left out of the quiz. I'll do it again in another forum.
I will investigate the grader report, the activity completion and the activity completion report.

Thank you very much.
María.
