Conditional activities: Is there a simple way to have Prerequisites for courses?

I need to setup a prerequisite system for courses . Needs to be simple. If a student has 50% or better in a required course, they can take the next course in that stream. If not, they can't.

Thanks for any help. Currenly we are using 1.5.x on Linux.

I don't know of any automated way for this, but a workaround would be to lock the courses with course keys, and give the key to the next course only when the student got 50% or better from the previous course.

Thank you. Your suggestion would work, but students pass keys to other students, and I was hoping to just set this up for the whole school and all the teachers would not have to worry about how it worked, just that it would.

Hi, I'm using 1.8 and I'd also like to also create the course prerequisite. Is there any other way than the password to work around this issue for this version?

Activity Locking V 2.0 for Moodle 1.8.1 only

That link doesn't work for me.

I need prerequisites too. Currently I have one program with several courses which I'd like students to not be able to see all of the courses until they have finished the prerequisite. Completing one course opens up several possibilities for a student to take. It would be very time consuming to try an administer such possibilities for each student!
