Safe Exam Browser Problem

Safe Exam Browser Problem

I am testing Safe Exam Browser (SEB) in Moodle 4.1 and have a question. In the SEB settings of a quiz, I can enable quitting and a "quit" button will be displayed for the student. However, this allows students to quit SEB during the quiz, then re-enter and finish the quiz if they have time remaining ("Continue last attempt"). If I don't enable quitting of the SEB, students don't see a quit button and they have to reboot their system to get out of SEB. Enabling quitting of SEB seems completely counterintuitive to the purpose of the SEB - navigating to other websites and looking up information on the Internet while taking the quiz.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing and have a solution or am I missing something about how Safe Exam Browser works?

Thanks.

I answered my own question. As a Moodle administrator, this is a problem. However, SEB works as expected when I test it with a dummy student account.
