Exporting Personal Data

Exporting Personal Data

Hello,
When exporting personal data from Moodle, one gets the exported file in the format of a zip file.
But when extracting the files, I do not see any files that are in a 'Usable' format for the user to actually be able to read and understand the exported data.

Is there a way to get a readable/usable format of the exported personal data from Moodle?

Really appreciate the help

Hi Belen,

The readable user interface for the exported content is the index.html file included within the export. The easiest way to access that is to extract/unzip the whole export.zip file, so that you end up with a "regular" folder with the contents of the export in it (usually that would save into the same place where you have stored the export.zip). Then you just need to navigate into that new export folder and double click on the index.html file, which should then open in your web browser and allow you to view the export contents.
