Installation failed before admin set up

I encountered  a problem while installing Moodle 4.13+ on a space provided by our web hosting partner, as a temporary solution for testing (Apache, PHP 8, MySQL 5.7).

Everything was green during the checking of the server configuration and I proceeded with the installation with no problem until I got a server error (with no further explanation). When I tried to go back to the index.php page, I got a message that an update of the database was in progress and asking me to comme back later. When I tried later, the server redirected me and I got this message:

Sorry, but you are not currently authorized to do this (Update user profiles)

This installations has not been completed and the admin user has not been set up. Unfortunately,

I installed the same version on another server and on localhost without any problem.

The only threads I found with a similar problem were rather old.

Any idea ?

PHP8 it's not enough information, you should be aware of the first minor, eg. 8.0/8.1/8.2  to understand if your environment it's safe.
