translation plugin - how to backup translations

Dear Moodle Community,

I am in the process of setting up a Moodle instance for physics courses which will have to be bi- or trilingual. To simplify translations I have installed the translation plugins which seem to work.

I wonder how I can backup translations that have been made, because as I browse the backed up mbz file I cannot find the translated content.

Is there something I am missing? Is there a workaround?

Hi,

Not sure i well understand what you want to do.

If i understand well, you want to find your custom translations, to apply them on another Moodle site.

Everything is explained in the Language customisation documentation page sourire

Hi,
I have 3 language packs installed (FR,DE and EN). But my question is not about the core language functionality of Moodle. Rather, I am using the translation filter plugin (https://moodle.org/plugins/filter_translations) to translate course content (activities, Quiz questions, etc...) to different languages. My question is about whether it is possible to backup or retrieve those translations, since they do not seem to be included in a normal course backup.

You are talking about the translations in the content, right? Then please describe in detail the translation method you used. There are many methods. ;)

Hello,

Yes content of the course.

So I am in a course with french content. I then click on the translation icon in the toolbar an start inline translation.

Then I click on the"Start inline translation" button which then activates the content translation capability for the content.
After translation, the respective icons turn green.

I believe that Moodle.Academy uses the same system.
