We host Moodle on-premise during this term Moodle has been very slow, and we cant figure out the cause.
Please advise how can we increase it's performance

First, let me thank you for all your help in the past, I never contacted you but your replies to other posts have been very helpful when we encountered similar issues.
Our Moodle vertuion is 3.9, with approximtly 6000 useres. At the time we are using the default blank theme. On campus when we open any other site it loads fast. When we use Moodle it is very slow to navigate moving between pages adding activities resources or performing any Moodle task takes a long time. I have tried to include as many details as possible please let me know what I can add.

Can you confirm if this is a new issue or has it always been slow. ? Is it still slow at times when there are few users logged in (e.g. very late at night).. However I suspect the number of users is not the problem.

Using the default Boost theme is a good place to start as it means your setup is close to what other people will be testing.
Can you try moving from one page to another while looking at the browser console to confirm there are no javascript issues.

There is absolutely no point in discussing something in triplicate. I hope the moderator will find some way of channeling all three in to one. In my view, this discussion is the longest. So better put notices in the other two discussions requesting people to follow up in this thread.
