Hello every one. Moodle is great. when we create user and password for a person he can share it with other people. I am wondering if there is any way to limit access to the website to a single system such as a computer, a laptop or a cell phone. so that if that person share it, it would not work on another computer.
Moodle doesn't do device detection, which is an invasion on privacy anyway. What you could do is to limit to one login at a time: https://moodle.org/plugins/auth_uniquelogin. Haven't tried it though.
To achieve this you would need to use some sort of SSO and managed devices. There is no way to practically implement this otherwise. If your users are using their BYOD devices its practical. The closes you could come is to implement 2FA so the user would need access to a common device to authenticate
